EFE brand originated in Netherland, established by Edeline, Fedora, Edmud, who from Van Basten family, adhering to offer custom-made accessories for European royal families and nobilities.
Mr. Basten sent his 3 sons to Italy for further study in 1960. When he attended his sons' graduation, he was in different garments matching different scene, but with the same old-style glasses which could not perform his taste of fashion and elegancy. His sons decided to design a pair of glasses separately as a gift for Mr. Basten.
In Mr. Basten's birthday party, his sons presented their gift. Edeline's glasses were luxury and elegant which was just suitable for the party. Fedora's was in exquisite design which performed modestly and sagaciously. Edmund's was fashionable and suitable for casual occasion. Mr. Basten was deeply moved. The guests came to realize that glasses were not only a tool but also a part of fashion and taste.
The son also want to pass their fashion ideal of glasses, so they named the brand as initials of their name "E" "F" "E".
In 1969, the first shop of EFE opened at P.C.Hoof street. The nobility and celebrities were deeply addicted to the luxury texture, unique trend, and elegant style of EFE.
After semicentennial, EFE still followed its initial faith which was luxury but modest, and focusing on the quality and taste. Everyone who desired fashion could find themselves from EFE.

上世纪60年代，为了吸取世界最顶尖的设计精髓，范·巴斯滕先生将三人送往意大利深造。
当范·巴斯滕先生去参加三人的毕业典礼时，他们发现父亲配合不同场景照相时搭配了不同的服装，却忽略了眼镜这一至关重要的细节，他甚至还佩戴着多年前的那副眼镜，单一的样式根本无法体现其时尚而高雅的品味。三人商议后决定各自设计一副眼镜作为礼物送给父亲。
回国后在范·巴斯滕先生的生日宴会上，三人在全场宾客面前亲手奉上了给父亲的礼物。Edeline呈上的眼镜高贵奢华，正适合这样隆重的宴会；Fedora的设计简约精致，在正式场合显得稳重睿智；而Edmund的眼镜时尚前卫，十分适用日常休闲佩戴。范·巴斯滕先生非常感动，立即换上了眼镜。在场宾客惊艳之余也开始审视自己，大家开始意识到眼镜并非只是辅助工具，而是时尚与品位的一部分。
三人亦希望将这种时尚搭配的理念传达出去，遂以自己的名字创立了EFE品牌。
1969年，EFE的第一家店铺在P.C.Hoofstraat大街开设，融合了各自鲜明的风格与对美的共性，EFE不迎合随波逐流的风潮，坚持着高雅的格调，一经推出便受到了各方贵族名流的追捧与青睐，其奢华的质感让人无不上瘾。
历经近半个世纪的风雨，EFE依旧秉持了最初的信念，低调奢华，高调内敛，专注于品质与品位的完美结合，令每个渴望时尚的灵魂都能从EFE中寻找到自我。
