ControlLogix控制器提供了一种可升级的解决方案，能对大数量的输入输出点进行寻址(最多128000个数字量/最多4000个模拟量)。ControlLogix控制器可以插入ControlLogix输入输出机架的任一槽位中。多个控制器能插在同一个机架中，相互之间通过机架背板进行通讯但互相独立工作。ControlLogix控制器通过ControlLogix背板对输入输出进行监控，与同在输入输出链路上一样。ControlLogix控制器能通过RS-232-C(DF1/DH-485协议)、DeviceNet、DH+、ControlNet、EtherNet/IP与计算机或其他处理器进行通讯。如果需要ControlLogix控制器支持某种通讯，只需在机架中插入相应的通讯接口模块即可。ControlLogix控制器多任务操作系统支持32个可配置的任务，这些任务可被设置成不同优先级，只有一个任务作为连续任务运行，其他任务必须或者1756-L61是周期性运行或由事件来触发。每一个任务最多可有100个程序，每一个程序有它自己的局部数据和处理逻辑，允许在同一个控制器中运行多个虚拟机(Virtual Machine)。

如何将1756-L61更换成1756-L73？
首先将你的1756-L61的程序上传，然后电脑上用CLX5000软件打开，右键点击1756-L61，更改型号为1756-L73。
如果更改型号的时候看不到1756-L73，那么建议你升级CLX5000软件到20版本或以上，重复上面的操作，更换时会提示你选择固件版本，，然后保存。
将机架上的1756-L61更换为1756-L73。
由于程序里的1756-L73的固件版本，有可能跟你的实物不一致，所以需要刷新固件，就高不就低，一般新的1756-L73模块的版本都不会高，所以保存后的程序下载到1756-L73时，需要将实物的固件刷新到程序里的版本。
刷新后下载程序，看是否报错，最有可能就是CPU不报错，其他模块兼容性故障，那么具体情况具体分析，将报错的模块的电子锁选兼容或者禁止，如果还是报错，则需要刷新报错模块的固件版本与CPU一致，比如同为20
